Philosophy:
My Philosophy of counseling is pretty simple. It is to strive to be like Christ, although way out of my reach. Jesus was the ultimate teacher/counselor and my job is not to judge or degrade, but to “serve up”. I believe one needs to have love and compassion for people and for their needs. A good therapist is a servant with a servant’s heart. I believe God gives people gifts to fulfill His purpose for their life. I truly believe that my career choice was God’s plan. I have relied on Him fully for the path that He wants me to trod. I believe He opens doors when He is ready for you to walk through that door. I also believe that God prepares us for the work He wants us to do. I feel this is the opened door He wants for me.
With life’s struggles and temptations, we often get burdened down with weight we can’t carry by ourselves. Our Counseling ministry is bible based and provides support through Christian counseling to individuals, couples and families who are dealing with stressful life issues. It is a non-profit ministry that collects cost recovery fees based on income and ability to pay.
Belinda Cooley is our counselor and she is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling the Association Office which is open Monday through Thursday at 888-729-3101.
